Pros

The community at Steppingstone is very safe and inclusive; it's a great place to learn and grow. It's a great place to start your career, receive mentorship, learn about project management, and be surrounded by caring colleagues from management to entry level peers.

Cons

Too many meetings. Decisions are very slow.

Pros

The work you do at Steppingstone is amazing. The kids are incredible and make the job worth while. You learn a lot very quickly and it is a great place to get hands on experience in advising and project management. Good vacation time too.

Cons

The organization is still very confused by its mission and has many issues in terms of creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels respected. People are very intense and form judgements about you based on your race. It can be a hostile workplace that tries to do good work surrounding sensitive topics, but is biting off more than it can chew, since they don't do a great job of supporting its employees after having all staff meeting about social or workplace issues. Management is selfish and will put their own needs in front of that of the students. Management has great knowlede about BPS but not about how to actually give consistent and helpful feedback to their supervises. No room for growth.
