Pros

Steelcase dealer, so it sells highly-respected products. Management always has best interest of the company in mind; they are not selfishly trying to suck the company dry. Strong values, and they do try to do the right thing.

Cons

Senior management has a horrible tin-ear when it comes to motivating and inspiring its workforce. I have heard it said by senior management more than once, "if they don't like it here, they should just get a job elsewhere." They do try to do right by employees through employee appreciation week and fun committees, but they are mostly childish activities. They display a large chip on their shoulder when they are being generous, as if it is a huge burden, and we are ingrates. They think of employees as children. People of color will not be found in leadership, and the token female position is constantly changing. There are no opportunities for advancement. Pay is mediocre.

Pros

The team at Storr are some of the most genuine, caring people I've ever met.

Cons

Complex company structure can be difficult to understand, especially if you're not engaged in your work, or you don't care about your job.

Pros

The location is great, and there are some really good people on the team.

Cons

I worked at this company and had a mixed experience. However, overall the atmosphere felt quite toxic and not very friendly. There were promises made that were not kept, which was frustrating. My contract was terminated in one day without any notice, which technically was allowed by the agreement, but it still felt very harsh and inhumane. Management feels outdated and not aligned with the modern business world. It seems like they are not open to change or growth. There is also a high turnover, and it’s easy to see why many people don’t want to stay long-term. The salary and benefits are not very competitive. The company especially lacks a strong marketing direction. It often feels like they don’t fully understand the value of marketing. The current marketing lead is trying, but seems very limited by internal constraints. It’s hard to see how things will improve unless leadership starts listening to people who understand how modern businesses operate. I hope the new owner will bring positive changes, but I’m not very optimistic.
