A workplace that gave me space to grow, learn and lead - Public Relations Consultant Storytellers 101 Communications Employee Review

I started working with Storytellers 101 since 2017 and they have been remote even before that. It was refreshing to see that I could continue my studies and work full-time from anywhere. I was a graduate of Sociology and never knew i could make it into the Communications industry. Leon roped me in as a full-time and I learned every small bit of PR and Communications. Both Leon and Rashmi guided me a great deal at every step where I needed their mentorship without making me feel stupid. They had faith in me even when I had no prior industry experience. A fun thing about working at Storytellers 101 was that by design, it exposes you to clients from various industries ranging from health, education, corporate, climate, advertising and marketing, finance, and more. I was able to represent individuals, small enterprises, listed companies and international clients. I have also tasted creative liberty at Storytellers 101. Leon and Rashmi provided handholding support in the initial days but when they knew I was ready, they trusted me with PR journeys of clients and accounts. We survived Covid-19 first wave and second wave, all without paycuts. Rather we received our annual increments and appraisals. Leon and Rashmi were always transparent with us about the finances and that gave me a relief that I was working with founders who were transparent with us. When clients appreciated our work, Leon and Rashmi never took over, they always shared the credits with us. The skills and working style I learned at Storytellers 101 are now with me everywhere I go. I could say it has shaped my workstyle and taught me how to lead a team and work under pressure.
