Pros

Smart and highly driven colleagues Strong leadership team in place That time the company sent a thoughtful hamper to each employee (shoutout to our Head of Marketing for making that happen or it wouldn’t have) Efforts by culture champs to drive new intestines

Cons

No efforts, concern or thoughts for employees wellbeing by the founders. You are set up for failure and can except the CEO to micromanage at every and any level. High staff turnover - everybody is leaving and they are struggling to make hires yet still have made no changes or thoughts to improve employee culture. The CEO has a reputation not just internally but externally too for being aggressive, a bully who will ultimately cause Streetbees to burn and fail.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the internal culture team (the Culture Champs) have done a great job in creating events that have built a really strong culture at Streetbees. The recent program for International Women's Week is a good example of this with the team organising a fireside chat with our CEO Tugce, comedy from some of the UK's finest female talent and a successful £3,000 fundraiser for a dedicated women's charity. I do however disagree with a number of other points you have made. Micromanagement - A strong leadership team is the key to transitioning a business away from being purely founder led. To achieve this I have personally recruited our leadership team and I would strongly encourage anyone reading this to look at our VP and C-Level talent across Product, Tech, Ops, Sales and Research. People at this level expect to be able to set the strategy, drive hiring for their teams and this is what we let them do. It is therefore very unusual today that Tugce or I are involved in determining what more junior members of staff are working on or how they are managed. High staff turnover - This was a big problem for the business back in 2016 and 2017. At that time we had no leadership team, no onboarding programs and no HR, and as a result experienced high staff turnover. We learnt from those lessons and hired a professional HR function, a strong mid and senior level leadership team and built out programs for onboarding new joiners. We now have our lowest ever churn numbers combined with our highest ever employee engagement scores which we measure by surveying our employees each week. I am continuing to work closely with the people team to build on these HR initiatives to provide everyone at Streetbees with a truly great employee experience.

Pros

I spent 12 years in client services leading key accounts, and have been with Streetbees for the last 3 years. When I first moved from a traditional research company to Streetbees, the change in pace was striking. It's a privilege to get to work with the world's leading brands on key strategic matters. Expectations are high, but it's very rewarding to see the impact we have on the growth of these Fortune 100 companies every day.  The work I do at Streetbees is very different to my previous roles though. I never worked in a tech company before, and I had to learn to do strategic insights differently relying on a high-tech AI product. I love working very closely with the product and engineering teams, which is not something I've experienced before.

Cons

Pace of innovation is fast, therefore there are constantly new products you need to come up to speed with. If you are looking for more of a traditional strategy role, this is probably not the right place. Most of Streetbees team are technical people and you need to be comfortable working with technology in a fast-paced envirnment.
