Pros
Field Crews: Excellent field team including superintendents, laborers, and subcontractors.
Amenities: Housing, work truck, cell phone allowance, 401k, per diem if travel is required, and chef on certain projects.
Projects: Challenging and enjoyable projects.
Pay: Higher than most places and pays weekly.
Cons
More cons than pros. Although this is a construction company, the times are changing with how personnel should be treated. Do not let the initial impression of the firm pull you in with the niceties and the "family-oriented" company. Upper management can be unpredictable and at times unhelpful. I recommend reviewing Indeed as well for other reviews that are not just "5 stars". The biggest issue lies with the COO. Very unpredictable and at times unprofessional. Expect to be berated if you say the wrong thing in front of your peers and threatened with your position. You can still give it your all and be told it is not enough.
Be ready for constant schedule changes, unobtainable expectations, and the ever-changing scope of your job resulting in multiple hats.
I have never experienced such high turnover at a company and saw many people either leave or get fired. Lastly, the best advice I have is to expect the worst and hope for the best.
