Pros

Its a job for a paycheck

Cons

Management lies to you. They treat employees like expendable drones. They do not pay a living wage. There was huge turnover. Worst place I ever worked including retail.

Flexible hours, rapidly growing business, lots of hands on experience doing science, fun people

Pros

As a laboratory technician working primarily in sample preparation, or an analyst working primarily in analysis, you will master the techniques required to generate good, quality data. You will learn how to calibrate, maintain, and operate expensive scientific instruments. If you pay attention, you will learn a great deal of industry specific knowledge. All of these things are huge Pros.

Cons

The experiences and skills mentioned above are probably worth more on a resume than the actual money you will make while working here. This results in a relatively high job turnover rate; periodic vacancies tend to perturb the web of shared duties in the laboratory, interrupting work-flow and raising overall stress levels.
