Pros

Great people (before all the good ones started quitting). Benefits are decent and effective on your start date. PTO, community service opportunities along with ability to earn extra PTO.

Cons

VERY poor leadership. Nepotism is rampant among senior officials, so ethics is out the door within this group. People quit for the same general reason but those same managers won't acknowledge that they are the problem (they bad mouth former employees to the ones remaining and blame everyone else except themselves). Very little sharing of information to the employees. Seriously, look elsewhere.

Thank you for your positive comments – We also believe our employees are great people, and we are proud of the team we have today! Our Good Citizen Program is one of our benefits we are most proud of; we enjoy rewarding employees for their contributions to the community any chance we get. As a small business, we do encourage comradery in our leadership and among our teams at all levels. We find this bond among employees helps build trust, and breeds success, so I am disappointed to hear about your experience. As for your ethics remark - we take ethical allegations very seriously, and I am surprised to hear your comments though this is the avenue. We are dedicated to providing our employees a safe and productive workplace, and value our employees’ input, which is why *all* employees are encouraged to contact our EthicsPoint, an anonymous and confidential hotline, with any ethical concerns or to report misconduct. Regarding your comment of bad mouthing former employees to remaining employees. I would like to point out that our HR Department recommended that I let the remaining employees know some of the background so there would not be unaddressed concerns or needless worry. My apologies if I did not carry out that task in the manner it was intended. The intent was transparency of the facts, not disrespect. Communications across our geographically dispersed workforce has always been a priority. That is what we have a weekly communication calendar that includes Welcome Messages, HR Tips, Leadership Tips, Safety/Security Newsletter, and business announcements or recognitions. Additionally, quarterly all hands meetings and the most recently added “fireside chats” are all aimed at transparency and keeping employees informed. I and all senior leaders make it a point to talk with each HQ employee each day we are in the office, and every week I contact our branch offices to keep a pulse on what folks are thinking. STS has been in business for more than 15 years, and we are continuing to make improvements throughout our organization. We appreciate your review, and wish you the best of luck in your current endeavors.

Pros

I've had no issues with any of my fellow employees. They're all nice and very helpful.

Cons

If you specialize in anything, you'll most likely be isolated but if that is what you want it's not really a problem.
