Cons
I remember, there were good employee-friendly initiatives started by HR, but nothing got the follow-through. Because the Ops has more power and "Customer Centricity". Also, there needs to be a cultural shift, where managers acknowledge the employees has family and needs time for themselves as well. We can extend for working if there is a major project/ urgent deliverable, no Problem. I have worked till 5 am the next day and came back to work the same day at 11 am while offshore, and 24-32 hours straight while onshore because the situation demanded that, but that needs to be a one-time thing. Managers need to take note and actively work to mitigate these kinds of situations from happening again. Even now, I hear calls are being scheduled AFTER 6 pm ( I am not talking about client Calls, but internal Product Discussions) , why is that? if you are so interested to resolve the work-life balance situation, stop doing these kinds of things NOW.
