Pros
Generally benefits are good: lifestyle spending, quarterly spot bonus (based on nomination subject to management approval), well stocked pantry entrepreneurial environment, passionate founders, really a great place to kickstart your career - you get to do and learn things beyond your jobscope.
Cons
It’s really like a popularity contest. If the founders love you, you are basically set for good. This is also linked to the bonus scheme. If you are liked by the management, it is easy to get the bonus otherwise it is difficult even though you are being nominated. Quite a blaming culture, it’s quite frustrating and not constructive. More energy is spent on finding out who did wrong instead of how to do it better next time. Decision making process is often irrational and not sometimes not constructive. It’s understandable that decisions change at the last minute but we all need to be respectful of each other’s time. A change may be seen as easy or simple but it often has a lot of impact in the work done.
