Pros
The pay is rather high but if you think about it, it tends to set the wrong standard moving forward and you'll come to expect too much from other companies to the point where you don't move even though everything else might be better there. Don't fall for this. But if you do want instant rewards then yes, the pay is high but only for people with prior experience. Fresh graduates don't get the benefits of a high pay.
The colleagues are nice though! Kudos to the spirits who have dedicated years there. I wouldn't but good for them!
Cons
Expects overtime without pay when the job role itself presents no need for overtime. Expects you to come in early to work when the role itself (again) presents no need for that. You have to work weekends (OT rule applies here as well) and sometimes even encouraged to come back on rest days. You're not allowed to truly learn everything but you do so little everyday that it doesn't amount to building any sort of long term skills except within the same industry. In fact, you're not even allowed to use your phone or be near a PC so don't even expect to upskill yourself through Google. Did I mention talking and sitting are prohibited? You're expected to work (even though there's nothing more for you to do) and work you shall!
Your hours are clocked, your lunch time is clocked. It's all monitored. There are too many employees but very few parking spaces. So expect to double park and move your car almost every day. Skip out on work to do that and the boss will get upset. So how do you balance it? You can't. You have to go to the toilet? Well you have to let another employee know so they can cover you but make the mistake of not doing that and the boss will get upset. So yes, if you need to take a number 2, you have to inform someone that you want to do that. I hope you're not shy or anything.
There's got to be benefits right? Medical! Limited uses and limited funding. Leaves! If you're on shift, you can't take them as and when because no one will be able to cover you. So if you're spontaneous, don't expect to be able to take leaves. But the weekend work days should be half day leaves right? Nope! 1 day leave for half a day's work on a weekend. Bonuses! Not much to even mention. Sports Club! None. Dental! None. Training! None. Company Trips! None. Annual Dinner...? Yes!
You don't get to meet a lot of people outside the company so don't expect any sort of networking to happen. You'll constantly be looked at by strangers but you can never actually address them. Just work and look damn well good at it.
Administration is a bit of a mess because they have so much work to be done by so few people. So don't expect any administrative work to move fast or efficiently there.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many more nuances to the job that it'd be faster to marathon the MCU than type it out.
