Pros

Suplari wants to succeed, and they try hard.

Cons

Management changes directions weekly. Frequent change is very common for a startup, however very tough to gain any momentum and/or confidence in sales when things change before they can even be effectively tested or implemented. Company does not stand behind their people. They do whats best for the business, regardless of how it impacts an employee. Company meetings are like that birthday party scene from Office Space. Culture at Suplari is lackluster at best.

Thank you for your honest and candid feedback! I’m really sorry about your negative experience working at Suplari. We move quickly and often have frequent iterations on strategic initiatives in order to achieve our goals. We strive to care for our people in the process, and understand that this frequent change can be frustrating. Our goal is to make the best long-term business decisions for the company as a whole, while staying true to our values and people. This is an iterative process, and we are continuing to learn and grow in this endeavor, so thank you again for the feedback. I would value speaking with you directly so that we can improve and correct any challenges that you have highlighted. Thank you!

Pros

- A fast-paced atmosphere and a smaller team means more opportunity to take on new projects and make significant contributions. A good place if you're self-motivated and can engage creatively in work even when there may not always be clear guidelines. - There are many talented individuals with a shared sense of dedication to the company's success. - Decent work/life balance, and I've felt the company overall tries to take good care of it's employees. They have stepped it up a bit during the pandemic as well to try and make WFH more a little more comfortable/balanced. - The engineering team does not shy away from using the latest tech and finding ways to innovate.

Cons

A smaller team means fewer higher-level talent to learn from (at least until the company grows larger).

Pros

The people make the experience and my former colleagues are some of my favorite people I've worked with in my career. It was a true pleasure working with them everyday. The atmosphere has a good amount of levity. The founders at Suplari have an amazing track record and which is reflected in Suplari's current success. Learning directly from Niki, Jeff and Brian helped me in the founding my own venture. Exposure to board members and the investors is a great benefit to those who are entrepreneurial . Team lunches with a VC was a regular experience. Drop ins by board and investors was also the normal; many of which know the employees by name. Direct customer interaction is also a critical part of the experience at Suplari. Being on sales calls, meeting with prospective customers and regular customer feedback meetings are open to all employees. Ability to influence the product and the company are plentiful.

Cons

They pay competitive salaries for early stage venture backed startups, which in Seattle is less than a tech giant. Startups come with a lot of uncertainty and require adaptability, this isn't for everyone. Long hours, nights and weekends are part of the deal, as you might expect at a startup, however their generous work from home policy made this much nicer, along with unlimited vacation.
