Pros

There is no real motivation to work here.

Cons

The CEO is hugely out of touch with service users and staff, as she sits in her mansion doing nothing all day but occasionally rocks up to pretend she’s down to earth. The workload is completely unfair and unjust for the pay grade. Toxic workplace culture with management pitting you against each other and half the staff are worn down enough to fall for it. The job advert on Indeed straight up lies by listing sick pay as a benefit. There is no sick pay at all until a minimum of 1 years service, unless you are a bank staff member in which case you don’t get it ever regardless of time served. No training whatsoever which is desperately needed as they will literally hire anyone with a pulse (although they probably would make exceptions if you didn’t). No transparency in the interview process and if you express that they lied they will just accuse you of lying and threaten you with disciplinary action, which will never be followed through. The pay is horrendous, especially considering this is effectively a private healthcare service. Instead of listening to criticism they simply advise you leave and work elsewhere. The only reason I’m am still working here is because I haven’t been hired by somebody else yet. When I first started I was full of energy and optimism and now I’m a miserable shell of myself who I don’t recognise. I’ve had to up my anti depressants since starting employment. I could go on and on but is honestly too depressing to think about….

Pros

Service users are usually nice, colleagues are nice when they aren't stressed.

Cons

I've worked for a few support companies now and this by a mile is the worst, and the job i regret taking the most. They lure you in by saying "we are a family, we look after each other like family and have fun days and will support you etc." But it's all lies. I was a completely different person when i started here, and I left it a broken shell of my former self. the 'HR' department outed my sexuality to the whole of the senior management team and my manager. These emails went to the CEO aswell, and all of them did nothing about it. This job caused me nothing but stress and heartache. It's not even a good company to the service users, some will have 25 hour packages but will be receiving 3-4 hours of support a week because the staff are so thin on the ground and management do not care. They cover it up and make it look like they receive more hours my faking schedules. I was repeatedly told that "no one in care is your friend, everyone will take you down if they have to." This created a hostile work environment. This job, The management, The senior Management and the CEO do not care about you or your well-being, they care about money, it is a profit making, private, care company after all.
