Pros

Competitive Pay good co-workers and good lower management. I enjoyed lower management it upper management that is out of touch and incompetent.

Cons

The business has so much potential if they get rid of everyone in upper management. It is completely disorganized I feel sorry for our clients, because workload is too heavy the clients issue may never get looked at. This causes them to lose business. Severely understaffed client upset and rightful so. Your efforts will not be noticed they don't care about employee retention which is odd and horrible business decision, because one of the main concerns for clients and employees is being understaffed. They will fire you for covid related issues when you give effort, but unexpectedly miss a few days. They were severely understaffed to begin with. This job takes months to learn, so to waste money recruiting and firing makes no sense rather than build a strong base of experienced employees which causes a bad experience for both client and employee. Already low on experienced employees, so get rid of experienced employees at the very end of the year for unavoidable illness most busy to understaffed for less busy times as it is....right? Great Idea. All good reviews are from managers cause how poorly this business is run is scarier than the exorcist.

Pros

Good pay, decent benefits, unlimited time off.

Cons

From the start, it was uncomfortably obvious that at least half of the people in marketing had problems with one another. You could actively feel the tension in every interaction: during video calls, in email threads, even in Slack chats, etc. At first, I blamed structural issues. The various marketing teams were set up in a confusing way, and it wasn’t clear who owned what or who made final decisions. So I understood why everyone felt like their toes were being stepped on. However, I really think it goes beyond that. There’s a fundamental lack of respect, and it’s led to an extremely negative and passive aggressive environment. The pay is slightly above market value, which is what led me to accept the job in the first place (despite one of my pre-employment interviews with the team being so tense and uncomfortable that the hiring manager actually had to apologize). However, I really wish I had trusted my gut. My experience at SurePayroll was by far my least favorite of my entire career.
