Pros
No issues with the job or actual receipt of pay. Prompt answers from the branch, even if not always helpful.
Cons
Holidays and holiday pay. Where to start, never correct or in line with legislation. This company has thier own rules and guidelines. My hourly /daily rate is never reflected in my holiday pay. I can never get a definitive answer over what time I have accrued. I’m told pay is worked on average over the previous pay period. But when you actually get paid it’s not at all. I took a week off recently having worked the same hours for the previous 14 week’s receiving the same pay to the penny. When I get my holiday pay it’s £30 less. So after numerous texts and phone calls. I’m told it’s calculated from the average of the previous 12 weeks! So I said surely it should be the same then . ‘ ah , no it’s a rolling average ! Wtf that is I haven’t a clue. Also apparently you don’t accrue holidays whilst you’re away. So your average drops, even though I’m on a long term position. So I then asked, that from what your telling me if I say booked 3 weeks off as accrued holiday time , from an allowance of 5.5 weeks over a year. I may not get paid by my third week! Yes that’s correct! Total rubbish and they know it. Just don’t want to pay holidays.
