Pros

Robotic automation of warehouses is a growing market.

Cons

Management is inept. They don't plan or staff projects appropriately and they don't recognize that their failure to do so has consequences. Instead they blame employees and treat them with disdain. There is a total lack of respect for management by employees that permeates in every group. Employee morale is horrible.

Thank you for also thinking that working with robotics and automation in a growing market is a major pro for our company. To continually improve employee morale we have assembled two employee committees for the office environment and for activities and recognition. It seems like you have some great ideas so please join us at one of our next meetings. Our upper management and executive teams have been working together in order to continually be more strategic and collaborative. Similarly they have also been hosting Lunch and Learns on most pizza Fridays to share the history of each group’s impressive work and what projects they are currently on in order to help keep all employees informed. Pros

Interesting technology and exposure to advanced automation systems. Opportunity to work on complex engineering projects.

Cons

Poor work-life balance with high expectations and little flexibility. Communication from leadership and the general manager was very limited, making it difficult to stay aligned. There was also a lack of transparency around performance expectations and job security. Even when performing well and fully understanding the environment and workflows, employees could be let go without warning or a second chance. This creates unnecessary turnover and results in lost knowledge, requiring time and resources to retrain new engineers who are unfamiliar with the systems.
