Pros

Some talented and hard-working colleagues, though they are overshadowed by severe management issues.

Cons

Unprofessional and Disorganised Leadership: My experience with leadership, particularly the CMO, has been highly unprofessional. In July, I raised concerns after discovering that I was being talked about without my knowledge. This created an uncomfortable work environment where rumors and hearsay seemed to guide decisions, rather than transparent communication or performance metrics. I requested clarification directly from the CMO and COO at the time, but instead of resolving the issue, it felt swept under the rug. Lack of Proper Feedback and Growth Opportunities: Following the July incident, I received no immediate specific feedback or action items to address any concerns (my original email to the C-Level, to this day, has never been answered). This vague and non-constructive approach carried on, culminating in my unexpected (or perhaps, very anticipated - the price you pay for speaking up) termination months later. This termination came after the CMO sent me a meeting invite on a Saturday without any agenda (which is the bare minimum, Saturday meetings aside), only to fire me on Monday. It felt incredibly impersonal and disorganised. HR Practices Are Substandard: HR did little to address or resolve the ongoing issues (but a 'Speak Up' policy is in place), whether it was the discomfort caused by the July incident or the abrupt termination later on. The lack of structured communication from both management and HR left me feeling unsupported throughout my time at the company. This points to a major flaw in how the company handles employee relations. Toxic Work Environment Driven by Hearsay: There is a noticeable reliance on hearsay and internal gossip to make decisions, rather than fair and transparent performance evaluations. In my experience, there was no clear communication between leadership and staff, and important feedback was vague or nonexistent. This culture of whisper networks creates a toxic and unproductive environment for employees.

Pros

Great place to work with a strong sense of purpose and product. The culture is professional and collaborative, with an emphasis on respect, accountability, and delivering value for customers. You’re given responsibility and trusted to take ownership, and there is room to grow if you are proactive.

Cons

As with any growing company there is a lot to do and processes are evolving which can require patience.

Pros

Syncron is a place where you get to work with knowledgeable and supportive colleagues, which was the highlight of my time there. The company operates in a specialised SaaS niche and works with enterprise clients, offering some exposure to international processes. That said, the wider outlook has been uncertain, with frequent leadership changes and occasional redundancies, which can affect long-term stability.

Cons

Promotion opportunities are limited despite increasing workloads. The company has undergone periodic "organisational changes" over the last couple years and has replaced much of the C-suite, sometimes more than once. Communication across teams can be inconsistent, and the company’s outlook varies by region. Employees are sometimes asked to complete tasks outside the scope of the manager’s expertise; while these tasks are completed, the outputs are not always incorporated into broader processes. The culture and strategic direction can feel unclear, and performance reviews are not always conducted consistently.
