Pros

The pay is very competitive. The work environment is inclusive. Never have I worked for a government contractor who's CEO has made himself so available to talk or discuss concerns within the company. You really feel like part of a community and that your opinion matters. I can attest, at least on the contract I was on, that he refused to give any of us a pay cut even though the government was reducing rates. This means either his profit margins during the contract were razor thin or he was simply breaking even, if not losing money. He still refused to cut our pay which after almost 7 years working in the government contracting business boggled my mind, but I wasn't complaining. The CEO holds a luncheon at a nice sit down restaurant quarterly to express his gratitude towards employees which is a nice perk. There was open communication between management and employees and I never felt left in the dark.

Cons

It is a small company so there are still some growing pains. The benefits could be better but are still cheaper (as a single person with no children) than buying insurance myself. You can flex time to make up for days you take off but you can only do so within the week, not within the pay period. This may be a "pro" for someone coming from a company where flexing time isn't allowed, but as someone who has worked for companies that allow you to flex time within the pay period I put it as a con. All these "cons" are superficial though and didn't really affect my pay so these were forgivable.
