Plant shuts down for Christmas throught new years and a week for July 4th .

The holidays are off but alot of the days are unpaid or you have to use your vacation days or simply be unpaid. Favoritism and inappropriate relationships between upper management and associates is rampant. Friends and yes men are promoted to lead positions over knowledgeable and deserving team members. Upper management and associates gossip about fellow associated retaliatory work loads as well as Favoritism shown within workloads is a daily thing here. The moral is quite low unless you are one of the favorites in that case you come to work on a daily bases to watch all the other associates work. No room for advancement unless your one of management's picks . The pay is not competitive and management picks and chooses who to reprimand and managments favorites are allowed to come in gossip all day do the least work load and go home early everyday. They start every shift off with a team meeting where answers to questions are few management doesn't give detailed info They just stand in the front mumbling how they have nothing to say and end the meeting boasting quality safety team work ,which is null and void in this department. Elderly associates work harder than the young more agile associates.
