Pros

Made some great friends along the way. My branch manager was kind and tried to do the best, where they could.

Cons

If I could give zero stars, I would. There is a whole list of what is wrong with this place. Terrible pay. Everyone is overworked and underpaid for the amount of responsibilities and workload they give to each person. Incentives for products were also discontinued, so it’s not really worth discussing sales with members. Even if you do talk to them about it, you’re not going to find another employee who is knowledgeable on the product. There is an everyday spending card that is offered on the website, and you can’t even find a manager who knows how to help someone get one of the cards, or how to load money on it. Company resources for how to perform certain transactions or specific policies are always out of date. If you ask to have it updated, management will just ignore you. You get blamed for things that are out of your control and upper management won’t take responsibility for poor training and will not admit to any fault of their own. They’ll do anything to push their own faults under the rug. You’ll be calling around for half an hour trying to get another manager on the phone if your branch manager isn’t available. And that is if you are lucky. I wasn’t even willing to open an account with TTCU because the customer service is so lacking and it seems like TTCU only cares for themselves and not for members or employees. Suggestions aren’t taken seriously from others for improvement. If you fill out the exiting survey and say anything poorly about this company, they will automatically put you on the do not rehire list because the company cannot take criticism, even if it is constructive. I am aware that no one has completely the survey in a long time due to not wanting to be added to the do not rehire list. So many great people have been hired here, but everyone leaves because they are taken advantage of in their position. Opportunities for raises and promotions aren’t worth the time because anywhere will offer you something more. They are not willing to even try to compete or talk numbers. Every policy and procedure is out of date. The dress code is ridiculous. No nail art, and nails can only be a quarter of an inch past your finger tips. Who measures that?? Dress standards are old fashioned and can be demeaning. No tattoos are allowed to be shown, and clothing must be a specific fit for it to be deem appropriate. Everything feels like you are having to dress for the 80s standards. If you don’t follow these standards, management will call you out and send you home to change, rather than being polite and just saying well you shouldn’t wear that again. No 401k options until after you have worked with the company for over a year, and they are not matching contributions. Management allows CU members to walk all over employees and verbally abuse them on a daily basis, and will only stand up for employees occasionally. If you ask upper management for help, expect slow responses that aren’t going to be helpful anyways.

Pros

The company has seen significant improvement under the new leadership. Many processes have undergone changes under the new leadership, and these changes have created numerous opportunities for new positions. The staff is held accountable for the expectations of their position. If you expect to simply glide by and collect a paycheck, this company may not be a good fit for you. Here, you are rewarded by the quality of work you do, not by who you know or who likes you.

Cons

Although many issues have been resolved, there are still some items that require correction. Management is working on fixing them based on their priority, but there is still at least one year of operational changes in the pipeline.
