Pros
-lots of snacks -smart, nice, liberal folks -fast paced “growth opportunities” -warm & fuzzy mission, meetings, and recognition -challenging projects -open to innovation: they’ve been in an early developmental stage for yearssss, so they’re always looking for bright people to come in and solve everything -if you’re a reflective person, you will learn a lot about yourself, your values, and your worth
Cons
-this space is for a homogeneous group (as you can see by the glowing, robotic reviews) and their only concern with diversity is around building a better looking team page -they use Google to become “experts” in whatever their clients need. They are charging people for knowledge and implementation that they can’t execute within their own company, or anywhere really -there is an expectation for quick, monolithic growth without any support other than a firehose project and lots of “feedback” (really just an excuse to critique work from bias and preference - if you’re different, you won’t be grown) -all of the lower level folks who are carrying the company are underpaid but they bring in random leadership (friends and family) all the time and pay them beautiful salaries to do nothing -it’s truly a toxic culture : one where you’re made to feel part of something great, so they can leverage your inexperience and wide eyes for their workhorse mentality. It’s both empowering and manipulative, but never truly a safe or inclusive space for expression, growth, challenge, or just..... kindness.
