Pros
1) Healthy base salary with opportunity to double or even triple with commission 2) Great experience - you learn a lot and most of it transferable to other jobs/industries 3) You are given a lot of responsibility and autonomy to control your territory and run it your own way 4) On the road many days so you are not tied to a desk
Cons
1) Technically there is a training program but ultimately you are on your own (left just trying to keep your head above float for the first year) 2) It depends on the city/branch but the hours are very extensive and you are always expected to be available on your phone and via email. 3) You are also expected to juggle an extreme work load and wear many hats since the company is run extra lean these days (2013/14-current) 4) Last but not least, with the company running lean, there is often not enough labor/resources to fill the orders which makes sales very stressful and results in a lot of stressful customer service issues
