Pros
You work remotely and do not go into an office.
Cons
Things could easily be better at this company, if they only cared a little bit. Unfortunately, no one in any of the upper management positions seem to care at all. This includes the health and safety of their employees. Their COVID-19 response/lack of response has been laughable. The problems of this organization go far beyond COVID-19 though. I think the main issue is there is a disconnect between the remote work force (those carrying caseloads) and those in management. There is a complete lack of leadership overall. No real HR department. No meaningful training. You have a supervisor but they don't really do anything besides parrot talking points. There are no strategies in place to manage ongoing issues. A blind eye is turned to outright fraud. The "employer agents" (ILIFE, GT, Premier etc.,) seem to shift their responsibilities onto the IRIS Consultant staff and TMG management doesn't care at all. They just watch it happen and act as if these organizations are untouchable. TMG management have no concern for workload and caseload size. They flat out lie about getting caseload size down. It seems management doesn't even understand the nature of the work of many of their employees. You will easily work 50 hours per week without paid overtime. Your caseload and responsibilities will balloon bigger and you just have to take it. Keep in mind, most of the work you do will be pure busy-work. You write meaningless documents and gather meaningless signatures that your assigned participants don't want and have no interest in. You have to maintain contacts with the participants you're assigned. Many of those participants will chronically waste your time; no shows for visits, will not call you back etc.. Granted that this is the nature of the field and the populations you are working with but TMG has no real mechanisms to help you manage these chronic issues. You just have to deal with it and it really does wear on you when everyone deals with the same problems and TMG management has no intention of making things better. If you want a job where you actually make a difference, unfortunately this isn't the place for you. Last point, this position requires you to use your personal vehicle to drive dozens of visits per month. You are paid for mileage but you are going to put a lot of wear and tear on your car. TMG does not reimburse for maintenance. The road is a dangerous place. TMG does not reimburse for auto insurance. All of these things really just add up to a job that is not enjoyable and I've personally come to loathe.
