Pros

You work remotely and do not go into an office.

Cons

Things could easily be better at this company, if they only cared a little bit. Unfortunately, no one in any of the upper management positions seem to care at all. This includes the health and safety of their employees. Their COVID-19 response/lack of response has been laughable. The problems of this organization go far beyond COVID-19 though. I think the main issue is there is a disconnect between the remote work force (those carrying caseloads) and those in management. There is a complete lack of leadership overall. No real HR department. No meaningful training. You have a supervisor but they don't really do anything besides parrot talking points. There are no strategies in place to manage ongoing issues. A blind eye is turned to outright fraud. The "employer agents" (ILIFE, GT, Premier etc.,) seem to shift their responsibilities onto the IRIS Consultant staff and TMG management doesn't care at all. They just watch it happen and act as if these organizations are untouchable. TMG management have no concern for workload and caseload size. They flat out lie about getting caseload size down. It seems management doesn't even understand the nature of the work of many of their employees. You will easily work 50 hours per week without paid overtime. Your caseload and responsibilities will balloon bigger and you just have to take it. Keep in mind, most of the work you do will be pure busy-work. You write meaningless documents and gather meaningless signatures that your assigned participants don't want and have no interest in. You have to maintain contacts with the participants you're assigned. Many of those participants will chronically waste your time; no shows for visits, will not call you back etc.. Granted that this is the nature of the field and the populations you are working with but TMG has no real mechanisms to help you manage these chronic issues. You just have to deal with it and it really does wear on you when everyone deals with the same problems and TMG management has no intention of making things better. If you want a job where you actually make a difference, unfortunately this isn't the place for you. Last point, this position requires you to use your personal vehicle to drive dozens of visits per month. You are paid for mileage but you are going to put a lot of wear and tear on your car. TMG does not reimburse for maintenance. The road is a dangerous place. TMG does not reimburse for auto insurance. All of these things really just add up to a job that is not enjoyable and I've personally come to loathe.

Pros

There are some amazing direct care staff who care. Cliques are starting to form. That can be difficult to navigate especially if you are actively trying to avoid the high school clique mentality.

Cons

The SLT team is a bunch of mean girls. There is a clear disconnect between them and the direct care staff. More often then not they will shift blame for everything on the consultants. Even if the consultant is completely blameless. Management tries to reward us with "thank you emails " and pizza parties for meeting goals. Bonuses are rare and raises are minimal. Turn over is increasing and management keeps saying they don't know why. SLT Tea Sessions are a joke. People don't participate in them because they will be targeted if they ask the real questions. SLT wants smiling pawns, not real life workers. The anonymous Glint survey is not anonymous. Everyone gets a personalized link. Think about that. No real room for growth. Stagnant wages. I have been over capacity on my caseload for a lomg time and am still being told that I am not doing enough.
