Pros
Encourages independence and self-reliance, as employees are often required to manage tasks on their own.
Cons
In my experience, the work environment lacked psychological safety. I experienced exclusion and isolation, and there were limited opportunities to be involved in meaningful or impactful roles. Decision-making was highly centralized, with an autocratic management style that did not encourage open communication or feedback.
Overtime was frequent and often uncompensated. Tasks outside of my original job scope were regularly assigned without proper discussion or alignment. There was limited teamwork, and many tasks were repetitive without clear objectives or measurable outcomes, which felt demotivating over time.
Job responsibilities were unclear, with frequent changes in expectations. Support and recognition were minimal, and mistakes were often highlighted without constructive guidance, which affected morale and motivation.
