Pros

No pros anymore. It was a good organization until 2010.

Cons

Many cons. No advancement hierarchy. Business driven management and directors with zero leadership game, hardly any with an HTM background at all. Treating healthcare like a business is a failing model. Trimedx now has a reputation in the biomedical tech world as a hire-and-fire organization and no one is making an effort to fix that. Clinical/biomedical engineering departments are just as well off to have their own hospital leadership run their shops because neither them nor Trimedx leadership fully understands what the techs do. Trimedx just makes them follow their already flawed metrics and KPI's. When a member of the staff leaves, hiring a replacement is a slow process if it happens at all. Mostly the former employee's workload will be spread across the remaining tech staff and no replacement will be hired. Techs' suggestions fall on deaf ears. Revolving door on central office leadership is also a problem. Constant critiquing of technician work quality yet their own procurement staff can't even arrange a UPS ground shipment out in a timely fashion (a problem going back quite a few years).

Being with the organization for over a decade, we’re certain there are a lot of things you’ve experienced. Our hope is that you did have some positive experiences, and that those are what kept you at TRIMEDX beyond 10 years. You’re right in that we’ve not been perfect, but we are working towards a better future. Our new executive leadership team that believes in the associate voice and we’re diligently working through feedback received during our annual Associate Engagement Survey. We’ve already made some changes based on associate feedback and have established plans for future changes. Additionally, we’ve launched Continuous Improvement efforts within the organization this year to help facilitate process improvement and positively impact all areas of the business. We would welcome additional feedback on where we can improve. If you decide you’d like a conversation, please reach out to a member of HR.

Pros

PTO, Great Atmosphere at least in my area.

Cons

PAY. They want to give them easily 3% a year so you are making less money each year because inflation is usually higher than that. The only way to get more money is to gain some experience and training through traumatics and then leave to an OEM or something similar to get paid what you're worth. Just causes a lot of turnover and it's very hard to find new people with any experience so you are constantly doing the job of multiple people. It's a vicious cycle all because they don't want to pay people what they're worth as they progress in their career instead they would rather wait until the next guy comes in pay him even more than someone was asking for plus they still have to send him to all the trainings that the other guy had already completed. Just a poor business model that makes no sense to me.
