Mostly the company gives you the freedom to perform your job. The salary was the best part of the company. Only problem was that upper management had a tendency to keep showing up at the jobsites unnannounced as if employees were hiding something. It didn't matter if material and manpower showed up on time if the job didn't finish on time it was like you were put on a hit list and that hit list was discussed with everyone in the company without the persons knowledge. I do have to acknowledge that with the economy in a severe downturn maybe that had some effect on management decisions.
