Pros

This company is an excellent employer for the either the financially desperate or fresh-out-of-college individual. It will allow you to gain experience in a very quick amount of time comparatively to other employers, but this is also a negative (see the cons). Your fellow employees (not any one in the management team or for the most part the supervisors) are your comrades in arms. As a technician and with any other place, it can be pretty feast or famine... One day it's gogogo, the next 3 you're pacing the halls waiting for something to break. The benefits are decent, I suppose. At the time of this writing in 2021, the current supervisor (who should be manager but isn't because reasons) is one of if not the best persons I have worked for in my career. The groundwork is there to make for a very positive and fulfilling employment experience... BUT! Observe the cons!

Cons

At every opportunity, this company puts itself first and forefront, ignoring its worker bees. Pay is laughable, especially when they try to impress the "competitive" nature upon you and its current employees, which it is absolutely not. Their argument is that as a corporation, they have less ability for "wiggle room" and cannot be expected to meet every working-person's expectations. You will make more by working at the nearby McDonalds and for about 90% less stress. Every organizational announcement does nothing but reinforce this, as it can be seen that upper-management (who control all machinations of every branch) is extremely detached from the realities that we all need to deal with on a daily basis (both financially and as a worker at this plant). As a result, the door is ever revolving, new faces come and go with extreme frequency. You will be expected to wear an ever increasing amount of hats for the same compensation with no questions asked. Stress level is through the roof, and as a technician you will be asked to complete very questionable and seemingly redundant or down right idiotic work orders. You will receive little to no training and will be put through what I like to refer to as "trial by fire". It plays out as awesome as it sounds. Career opportunity is a moot point as well. They will tell you there is a growth plan when in actuality there is none. Your position is your position, and there is no change to it save for sliding into another and completely different job title. Management for the most part is all related to one another in some way shape or form. Some seem to have immunity from what would also be career ending catastrophe as a result. Even many supervisors fall prey to work place politics and familial affiliations. Back stabbing and road blocking are very common occurrence to the detriment of all. But, to further my point about career opportunities, if one of them doesn't take a shine to you, you absolutely will never progress further down their stream of "opportunity". All in all, unless you NEED a job, save yourself a lot of time and hassle. Keep the search going.
