Pros
The personal experiences of sharing in the lives of the people who live at Taca is very rewarding. Every day is a little different. Every day the residents will bring laughter and sometimes tears to my life. I work with mostly good staff and other great nurses. I enjoy the challenges of caring for these wonderful residents that I have grown to love. No parking fees, park in front of the building you are working in. Walk outside on a beautiful campus if you want to. We have a cafeteria on campus and a cantene to purchase food.
Cons
The challenges of having to stay over and work another 8 hours after my shift is over. We don't have extra money in the budget for extra nurses. We take turns and are assigned a day to stay over, if someone does call off, for the next shift. We do work short of nurses when people are out on vacation or sick.
