Middle management are also very helpful and positive, and only do the dirty work at the behest of senior management - they are clearly not comfortable doing so. Senior management assumes that non-existent skillsets exist, assigns blame without investigating both sides of the story and is as duplicitous as they come. I turned down a very lucrative contract to gain exposure to consulting. Avoid this company - it demands the extra stress that consulting requires, but offers no perceptible compensating benefits in my experience, nor any more job security than contracting via an agency, or engaging directly with the end client.
