Pros

Wellness account Medical/dental benefits Quarterly free products Provide remote work technology

Cons

Micromanagement and lack of leadership create a toxic work environment. Corporate fluff. What's stated in the handbook and the true actions do not align. Overworked and underpaid, seems to be the company's cultural norm. Expect to work overtime hours. High expectations of employees, however little recognition. Can have targets raised mid-year, where it can be a challenge to reach them. Manipulation from direct supervisor, one day you’re a favorite next day you’re an enemy. Lack of training, processes, and planning creates a nightmare for department organization. Management flip-flopping between ideas makes it hard to execute. Limited growth opportunities. Lack of company scope to plan for successful growth. Gossip. Lots of it.

Pros

Little to no oversight and/or intervention on the Control Center floor allowing you to perform your job undisturbed.

Cons

Poor leadership with heavy favoritism to certain employees who are also friends outside of work. People are promoted into leadership positions who don't belong in those positions. Tallgrass talks a lot about safety, but I was told very early on to never give any negative feedback on the annual safety and employment satisfaction survey because they're not anonymous and it will be held against you. I gave my Supervisor some very unsafe practices that I commonly witnessed and it went in one ear and out the other. They had a goal to create a very laid back and loose Control Center atmosphere and they've succeeded which will ultimately be their demise in my opinion. The Control Center staff is largely made up of younger people who play video games and engage in other very inappropriate activities all shift. Headphones maxed out so phones roll over is very common. I finally had enough and left. Irresponsibility was the norm and I simply didn't fit in.
