Pros

Good benefits, decent hours and a nice location. The hour rate is not bad if all we did was health coach however the job comes with many other expectations with little to no pay compensation.

Cons

The company has lots of great ideas of ways to improve the healthcare of this area however implementation can be wrangled in red tape. Often, we are asked to provide services that are not in our job description. The area that we serve is diverse and getting more so yearly, however diversity at the top is missing.

Pros

The organization has a strong mission and serves an important role in the local community. Many employees are deeply committed to their work and care about doing the right thing for patients and colleagues. This can be a place to gain experience and build foundational skills for individuals early in their careers or those seeking stability.

Cons

Opportunities for professional growth and advancement are limited, particularly for employees who remain with the organization long term. Career pathways and promotion criteria were not always clear or applied consistently, which made advancement challenging. Leadership decision-making did not consistently incorporate input from internal subject-matter experts, which at times slowed progress and limited the effectiveness of improvement efforts. Accountability at higher levels of leadership appeared uneven, while expectations remained high for frontline and mid-level staff. Compensation was below market for several roles, including leadership positions, making retention difficult. HR processes related to hiring, compensation, and employee relations lacked transparency and consistency, which impacted trust and morale.
