Pros

Workplace Environment: The office lacks proper facilities such as ventilation, adequate air conditioning, and clean drinking water. Employees do not have access to air conditioning or water filters, while management benefits from these amenities. The environment could be more comfortable for employees with better infrastructure and amenities. Tools and Technology: The software development tools currently in use are outdated, which may hinder the ability to work efficiently and stay competitive within the industry. It's essential to invest in modern tools to ensure better productivity and alignment with industry standards. Employee Well-being: There is a lack of comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, proper leave policies, and support for work-life balance. Employees are expected to manage on minimal support, and there are limited options for personal days off, even on major holidays. Furthermore, there are no government holidays provided, and even significant holidays like Christmas and Eid Milad are not observed. Management and Communication: There seems to be limited engagement with employees in terms of feedback and opportunities for development and policy making. There is a need for better communication channels between management and employees, including avenues for sharing suggestions and concerns. Work-life Balance: Employees have limited time for breaks, with only a half-hour lunch break and no provided food. Additionally, the distance to reach food options can be a challenge, especially given the office's location. More flexibility in this area would improve overall satisfaction. Training and Growth: Opportunities for training and skill development are scarce, and there seems to be a lack of experienced professionals to mentor newer employees. Investing in training programs would contribute to a more skilled and motivated workforce. Corporate Culture: The atmosphere could benefit from fostering a more supportive and inclusive culture, with opportunities for employees to voice their opinions and contribute to decision-making processes. Strict Sick Leave Policy: The company enforces a strict policy where employees must submit a medical prescription from the doctor, even for a single day of sick leave. This unnecessary requirement adds unnecessary stress on employees during their time of illness and reflects poorly on the company’s approach to employee welfare.

Cons

Lack of Salary Transparency: To date, the salary structure has not been explained by the HR department, leaving employees in the dark about their compensation. This lack of clarity adds to the overall sense of uncertainty and dissatisfaction among staff. Unclear and Coercive Bond Signing: The company withholds critical information regarding the bond during the hiring process. After being hired, employees are forced to sign a bond under pressure, with some employees even being threatened with life consequences if they do not comply. One distressing incident involved a female employee who fainted and had to be admitted to the hospital due to the immense stress caused by this situation. I strongly believe that the government should take strict action to prevent such exploitative practices and ensure companies adhere to fair employment standards. Manipulative Interview Process: During interviews, the company uses tactics that may mislead both the placement officers and the candidates, offering false promises about the role and working conditions. This deceptive approach raises serious concerns about the company’s integrity. Potential Harm to College Reputation: Allowing this company to participate in college placement drives could damage the reputation of the institution. Students may feel misled and trapped by unfavorable terms and unethical practices, which could have long-term negative consequences for the college's standing. Misleading Job Descriptions and Outdated Work: The job descriptions presented during the recruitment process are often misleading and do not reflect the actual responsibilities or standards of the role. The work assigned to employees is based on outdated technology and practices, some of which are more than 10 years old. Additionally, individuals who were offered software engineering positions often found themselves doing tasks that did not align with the business offers, leading to confusion and dissatisfaction. Delayed Salary and Provident Fund Issues: Employees have experienced significant delays in receiving their salaries, with several months of pending payments due to a lack of funds within the company. Additionally, the company has not been contributing to the Provident Fund (PF) for several months, further impacting employees' financial security and trust in the organization. Withheld Salary Increment: While salary increments are promised, the company withholds the incremented amount, stating that it will be paid after several months in a lump sum. Until then, employees continue to receive their old salary, which is highly unusual and unprofessional. This practice not only creates financial uncertainty but also raises concerns about the company's financial management and commitment to its employees. I strongly urge placement officers not to allow this company to recruit freshers or students, as it may trap them in an unhealthy work environment. This company’s deceptive practices can lead to frustration and disappointment, potentially spoiling the dreams of students who are just starting their careers. The negative experiences here could have long-term consequences, and the mistreatment of employees will likely prevent the company from achieving sustainable growth.
