Pros

Since most people are around the same age, the culture between employees is great. Everyone gets along and is helpful across all departments. There's free lunch once a week with an accompanying lesson that allows you to dive deeper into online marketing and SEO. Flexible work schedules. Good balance of work/home life. 401k program.

Cons

High turnover rate. Leadership is lacking. Receive a lot of passive aggressive instruction from the CEO. There is no formal training schedule. The lessons taught aren't consistent between each training class that comes in. Some training classes receive instruction differently from the previous class. You only accumulate 6 vacation days throughout the whole year. Only insurance provide is health...lacking dental and vision. Wage is not at all competitive and promotions and raises are not consistent among employees. Favoritism is definitely put into play and goes into consideration when people receive raises. No clear expectations or standards on how or when one receives a promotion or moves up to "Senior" status.

Pros

Loved my time with Tastyplacement, Michael and Mathew are incredibly knowledgeable guys who are experts in the SEO field. In my 18 months with Tasty, I learned a lot in a short space of time, that will stand to me in my future endeavors. Unfortunately, due to Covid I had limited time in the office, but management we're always available to help and guide me through any difficulties. If my personal circumstances were different, I would have loved to work longer at Tastyplacement!

Cons

Not so much a negative, but the very nature of SEO causes the job to be quite monotonous at times. Senior management do their best to have workshops & tutorials on new trends, to mitigate against the job being too repetitive, which helps.

Pros

If you're looking to learn and get experience in the digital marketing field (specifically SEO and PPC), TastyPlacement is a great place to start building your career. TastyPlacement offers a laid-back and flexible work environment, without overbearing micromanagement. If you are self-motivated and want to grow, you'll thrive in this environment. If there's any issues with a client, upper management also has your back. You won't be left out on your own. There's team happy hours, a legit espresso machine (no Keurig!), and the people who work here are fun to be around. I made many friends here I still keep up with today. I also enjoyed working with Michael and Matthew (upper management). They have a lot to teach you but are also approachable and fun.

Cons

You will work primarily independently, with the aid of upper management. If you are particularly interested in working on projects in a team, this could be something to consider. However, there are weekly team lunches where meals are comped and you get to learn what's new in marketing as a group. I would rate pay and benefits as average, but in line with industry norms for people starting out their career. I think the amount you'll learn and experience gained here adds to the value beyond just pay.
