Pros

Generally speaking, I really enjoy working at Taylor Morrison. Because of the way my team is structured I've had the opportunity to work on a lot of different projects and collaborate with several divisions across the country, also I'm constantly being challenged to work on things that are new and exciting to me. Sitting in corporate allows me to have a unique perspective. I see firsthand how important taking care of our people is to the leadership team. I believe that they truly want to continue to foster an organization that is great for our employees and our customers.

Cons

Because of the way the company is set up, corporate is often looked at by the divisions as trying to meddle where they really don't belong. It's challenging to make necessary changes when you're not viewed as really being on the same team, even though your goals are exactly the same. Also, things take a really long time to implement-- there's a lot of consensus decision making.

Thank you for the feedback! We love hearing from current employees on what they're enjoying about their experience and where we have room to improve. And we couldn't agree more on the "one team" mentality. Whether you sit in the home office, out in the field, are a sales rep in a community or a superintendent out on a job site -- we are one team across the nation! Thank you for everything you do, and for taking the time to tell us about your experience.

Pros

Fantastic culture, experienced team members, fun place to work, even in a down market.

Cons

Total compensation can be better, change of insurance not great, unable to use all PTO due to work schedule.

Pros

Good benefits and decent pay

Cons

Advancing via merit system does not exist, low metric superintendents are awarded CSC to train. Management preaches accountability but does not practice it while, passing all the bad decisions down to their team members to take accountability for their actions and decisions. There is no team mentality in Charlotte anymore. The culture has been turned in to a game of cutthroat in which every teammate is trying to make another look bad in order to hide their mistakes. It was a great place to be when I started but it has turned sour in the worst way causing the division to lose all if their top talent at the CSM, CM, and CWM positions. Everyone feels this way and are too afraid to say it due to fear of being targeted
