Pros
Some teams have very friendly work culture Good work life balance - almost no pressure to stay late and work on weekends. Taking vacation is encouraged No layoffs - at least in India. Even if you perform bad consistently, you wont be laid off. Good place for working moms and work from home can be done liberally. Customer focus is intense hence many product lines survive for a long time.
Cons
Struggling to adopt to a fast changing world. Politics and ego among managers is keeping good talent away. Less exciting work - only maintaining decades old code. Food options are really pathetic - may be the worst among Bangalore IT sector for a product company. Job description is not at all matching with actual work profile.
