Pros
The creative opportunities are second to none when the business is aligned. At its strongest, it felt aspirational and magical. The biggest thank you to Alice and the team for that.
Cons
A significant leadership change last year shifted everything. Reduced maternity pay, summer Fridays scaled back, and a return to five days in-office enforced with less than 24 hours notice from fully remote. An expectation to be available at all times, regardless of bank holidays or annual leave. Misalignment at the senior level spread quickly - morale declined, good people left, and a divide formed that became impossible to ignore. Progression pathways were unclear, performance reviews were rare and largely meaningless, and structural changes were communicated poorly if at all. The culture went from collaborative and creative to uncertain, fractured and toxic. Such a shame for a brand with so much to offer. Worth being aware of if culture, stability and professional leadership matter to you.
