A small company brings some less than flexible situations.

When I was interviewed by one nerdy, wanna be cool guy, he said verbatim, "yeah I just want to hire you to shake things up with the boys on the team since you're a girl". Thought hmmm that was weird, but I needed a job so I guess that's what it takes to get one. There is no room to ask questions, everyone is on their high horse and YOU have to figure everything out on your own so you'll feel like an idiot when you mess up but that's because no one will teach you or guide you. It's a super small company and very weird; extremely cliquey, awkward. The hours suck, the people are not respectful and I was literally so happy to get fired. This is a mostly male dominate company; 90/10. While working there, I felt icky and as if the guys were sexualizing me because they're nerds and aren't around many females, I don't know but it was REALLY strange. Pay was awful as well...
