Pros
-Really hard-working and quietly brilliant colleagues (people who have broken ground in the fields of digital imagery analysis/processing and GIS)
-Great customers, people that really want to invest in a long relationship, not transactional
-Very interesting work, things nobody has really done before at such a scale
-Basically get paid to learn a lot
Cons
-CEO and CRO heavily micromanage without having sufficient insight
-at times negative culture from the top that discouraged dissent, post mortems, or plurality of stakeholders within the company
-most employees are treated as disposable with the sole exception being the engineers
-"Unlimited paid leave" is a myth. Nearly everyone is expected to be on-call in some capacity 7 days a week, and if you're not responding to emails at 9pm, you'll either get resented or passed up for new advancement opportunities.
