Pros

When I first joined The Behavior Doc, I had no prior experience in the ABA field and wasn’t sure what to expect, now I am reaching two years here and the support, guidance, encouragement and appreciation I’ve received from the entire team has helped me develop a strong skill set and confidence as an RBT. I especially appreciate the child-led approach we use. It allows learning to happen through natural interactions and play, making therapy both effective and enjoyable for the children. The skills I’ve learned here such as patience, problem-solving, and understanding behavior has carried over into my everyday life as well, ABA is for everyone ! Working at The Behavior Doc has inspired me to further my career in this field. I would highly recommend The Behavior Doc to anyone interested in the field of ABA, anyone who wants to make a difference in children’s lives, or any family looking for compassionate, high-quality services.

Cons

There are no cons, except maybe having catchy kids songs stuck in my head ! Haha

Pros

This company provides clear communication and expectations. Dr. D values our time as people and as employees, we never have meaningless meetings that could be emails and we are not expected to be on call when we are off. TBD instills professionalism for all levels of employee. TBD is the first company I have worked with that places such a high value in their providers, all provider concerns are taken seriously. Dr. D is a hands on executive director, she is readily available to provide support, come up with ideas or trouble shoot large and/or small problems. TBD offers flexibility and self-management, I create a schedule that works for my clients and my own life. Generous stipends are provided regularly so that I can buy stimuli for my clients or materials for myself. TBD requires caregivers to be present and active in session, I no longer feel like a glorified babysitter, I am making real change with families.

Cons

In this field, hours can vary due to child illness/cancellations etc. Although hours can vary at times, TBD provides plenty of accommodations and is usually very quick in replacing clients should a case be lacking in hours.
