Pros

1. Weekly pay 2. Hotel accommodations (while training) 3. Training staff are excellent and knowledgeable

Cons

1. If you’re a phlebotomist (nationally certified) they require everyone to start as a donor service technician. 2. DST training takes 5-6 weeks and a lot is extremely repetitive. 3. Faster learners have to “wait” for the slower learners day by day even when the fast learner is excelling and ready for the next steps. 4. Culture (from management) is lackluster! They speak to you like you’re a child which is extremely belittling. 5. Lack of Communication with the same information- meaning everyone tells you something different so you’re unsure of what to believe with no real way to navigate. 6. Don’t believe anything said to you in your interview- it will all change Day 1 of training leaving you to feel as though you’ve been lied to. 7. Heavy pressure to go through the CDL training for an extra $5 but only when you personally drive the blood bus and then still have to do your main job to work the blood drive. Almost feel bullied throughout DST training and once you back out it’s an issue because they want EVERYONE to be able to do it all while paying penny’s on the dollar for how hard you actually work. 8. Expect to travel 2+ hrs while in DST training in your own vehicle. (yes they give u $.52/mile retroactively on the following weeks paycheck). Gas and maintenance alone is more than the possible $300 you’ll receive. 9. Once DST is over it’s only a $1 raise once you pass their phlebotomy training. (Not worth the first 5-6 wks of learning donor intake which ALL positions do). 10. Be prepared to work with a 95% female staff. The tension and atmosphere is extremely caddy and clique like.

Pros

Everyone was really nice to work with

Cons

the turn around rate was high because they don’t train you much, then you have to take on extra work. They expect you to do everything within 40 when you have a million things to do because no overtime.
