Fulfilling work environment - Product Manager The Cobblers Employee Review

The workers are nice and the place too.

My boss was horrible, he said it was a marketing internship but asked us to stay hours recording videos and editing it. I did not learn anything, and It was unpaid even though he said we would get pay after some weeks. (I cried every day). When I decided to leave, he told me that he would neve give me a recommendation letter, because I wasn't good enough.

I learned new skills while I was there.

Working at The Cobblers for the most part was an unpleasant experience. The jobs at the Cobblers involve skilled labor that takes time yet they expected us to work at the rate of machines, which considering the work and quality that was expected was impossible. They also switched us (without a choice) from hourly to production based pay which severely affected everyone and their day to day lives. We almost always had issues on pay days (a lot of times we got paid late without advance warning and were not given the right amount when we were paid, we also were treated as if we were in the wrong when we demanded the money they owed us). I could go on and on but overall it was not a good working environment.
