Pros

The management of The FDA Group will take the time to get to know you, then work with you to find the right employment opportunities that are a match to your interests and skill set. They will consult with you both before and throughout the interview process to maximize your chances of getting hired. Once hired, they will stay in touch on a regular basis to make sure the position matches your expectations as well as those of the customer. They also have numerous incentives to help employees help grow the business and share in the success. The name FDA Group alone brings a certain amount of prestige just walking through the door!

Cons

There really are none except those that accompany any contract work no matter the employer.

Pros

As a seasoned FDA regulatory/compliance consultant of 33 years, having worked both for FDA and Industry, I have worked for the great and not-so-great. I've been with companies whose consulting process was so laborious and costly that clients were lost before the start. I also worked for companies who spent more time trying to win the client project than they did to ensure they could accurately match the consultant to the project because they wanted to "put a body in there", whether or not the consultant demonstrated the right expertise. It is for those reasons, I began my own consultancy. As an Independent consultant and owner of my own LLC, I have many direct clients but I'm also in a position to support multiple consulting companies. Of those I support, I have found that The FDA Group, LLC business model works best because they recognize that the expertise lies with the consultant, not some employee in a contracts department who are usually unfamiliar with the process because the consultants are in the best position to develop the SOW/necessary hours. The FDA Group trusts the consultants as professionals. If in a position to do so, I will often decline other groups in favor of The FDA Group, LLC where they are competing for my time because it is simply easier and more efficient to work with them. Most of the time they bring more opportunities than I can accept because of my own client commitments, but I recommend them for consultant opportunities because they work WITH you, not over you.
