Pros

If you like data, tech or consulting in the slightest or want to explore a range of different sectors before starting a career, this is a perfect start. TIL is an aggressively helpful, friendly, welcoming company and affords employees great benefits. Listing some of the pros: - Transparency of leaders: As a employee, you are very much kept up to date with the strategic changes made in the company. Reasons for these changes are very clearly explained also. - Training: even after the first 4 months of training, employees are encouraged to seek out certifications, further learning and teaching experiences. You are pushed often, encouraged and given tonnes of exposure if you want it. - Friendly: The company is very social. Employees are given a social POD which has members from all sides of the company, and host social outings such as Karaoke, bowling, virtual clay shooting etc. There are parties held in the office for big events, such as graduating data schoolers, which enforces that feeling of accomplishment. - Caring: If an employees needs a day off because of illness, bereavement or general un-wellness, there are no questionnaires, no second degree. There are many support structures, such as mentors, buddies, and lead trainers who are there to offer patience and a listening ear. If an employee needs something to do a job better, it's often afforded to them. - Wide breadth of clients: from healthcare, to sports, to finance, to media. - CEO, and senior leaders are approachable. - Enjoyable benefits: the CEO will gift employees at easter and Christmas. There is breakfast on every other Monday. Fruit and drinks (hot and cold). Sports activities in the mornings, e.g. Yoga and boxing. Lockers to store your stuff and showers in the office. Company phone. Reasonable expenses. Opportunities to travel (within UK as a DS and globally as a Core Team member).

Cons

I can't say too much about the company's cons. But to be fair, I will try. It may be difficult for new graduates with no prior experience in the corporate world to be plunged into a corporate environment after 4 months of training on mainly Tableau and Alteryx. The corporate environment has certain expectations of professionalism which may not be developed in the training, as the company is quite casual. Another con may come as AI impinges on data viz, and analysis careers.

Pros

Unbelievable opportunity to break into the data space. Co-workers are some of the most helpful and intelligent people I have ever worked with.

Cons

Not many. Pay for being in NYC could be a little higher but the company goes above and beyond to set up their employees for success in the future.
