Pros
You work at your own pace and can make ok money. Of the office folks i have delt with they are all nice and easy to work with, the job is generally good. You see lots of cool stuff and meet lots of people they also have a half decent benefit package wich is rare.
Cons
There is no overtime pay but overtime hours expected , no increase in pay ever, you make the same per job as the brand new techs, but also not keeping up with inflation. Increasingly techs are sent to fix software issues with no tools to or help to fix the problem. They take issue about you stealing hours if you log off 5 min late. But will make you sit for 20min+ to cancel a call that you do not get paid for, stealing your time without a second thought
