      Fun job with learning, but poor management and favoritism - In Vivo Technologist The Jackson Laboratory Employee Review

      Pros

      The job itself is really fun. You get to learn a lot of different biomethods/techniques. Everyday is different and you get to work with a lot of people from different backgrounds.

      Cons

      Management is a joke. Sexual harassment from other employees/coworkers is ignored. I was told "it's just who they are". Favoritism is rampant. If you're made a favorite, you're able to move up quickly (even if it's underserving) but if you're not it's basically impossible.

      Pros

      Good pay and benefits are decent

      Cons

      Long commutes with tight time accountability due to newer rules. No more leniency for weather or traffic related tardiness that is common in Maine. Constantly changing rules and expectations are making the job impossible. Failure to meet new expectations lead to no finishes or raises or tuition reimbursement. Forced overtime in Ellsworth location with so.e employees being sent from Bar Harbor to cover. Seems like a sinking ship and I would not recommend anyone I liked for a job here.
