Pros
The students are amazing. You get students of all cultures, and all countries. You really get to know each and every student at this school whether they are your student or not with the small tight knit campus. The campus is absolutely beautiful.
Cons
The lack of consistency and leadership is unfortunate. Upper administration continuously asks you to do more with less compensation. When you end up doing more, they then ask you why you are doing more poorly. As an employee, you are expected to give your entire freedom to this school. Something really frustrating is that at orientation, they introduce the school to you as a business. It is your responsibility as an employee to keep a high retention. The amount of nepotism at this school is crazy. The Head of School hires people that they know whether it’s family or friends that are not always fit for the position. There are other upper administration employees that bring in friends and family as well. You will definitely see preferential treatment towards these individuals. Students pay a steep price for an honestly mediocre education at best. Teachers are overworked and underpaid with little to no benefits. You will pay majority out of pocket for your benefits. There are many two-faced individuals. Be careful what you say. Word travels SO quickly. Upper administration takes everything offensively and think anyone but them are the problem. Quick to blame and point fingers. Overall toxic working environment.
