Pros

Good people, most left... thinking of leaving or have been made redundant!

Cons

Where to start! 5 agencies were acquired by TMP and sadly most CEO's have left or are leaving this year - the people who built up the actual agencies and made them successful are gone and so are most employees from the acquired agencies. We were told the CEO/founders are leaving to make room for people to progress up to board level, absolute joke! Several senior people were hired only to be let go within a year. The things they come up to try and justify what they do is hilarious! What is left of this once hopeful agency is a bunch of people who do not have a clue what they are doing, refuse to listen and with an unexperienced CEO who is surrounded by people who are fearful of their jobs and scared to make decisions. Maybe in 5 years time (if TMP is still around) this agency may be good but right now its not a great place to work. Most ethnic minority staff have been let go and those that were there have left for lack of diversity. No one in senior management is of colour!!!

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry that you do not have more positive things to say about your time here and can understand that it has been a challenging few years. I think you make some good points about the diversity here at TMP. While it is incorrect to say that no one in senior management is of colour or that we specifically target minorities in redundancy processes, we can admit that we can always do more to support diversity at TMP. Marketing is typically not the most diverse field and so we have have adjusted our recruitment processes to try and attract talent from a wider array of experiences. Our hope is that we can make TMP a great place to work for everyone, regardless of their background. That being said, if you have further feedback to share, we will always lend an ear.

Pros

The Marketing Practice had a great work environment with a strong work life balance. Although mostly remote, the emphasis on communication made it easy to feel close with coworkers.

Cons

Cannot think about much that needs improvement.

Pros

- Some genuinely smart, well-intentioned people remain, especially within the creative team. - Exposure to large enterprise clients and strategic marketing work. - Remote work flexibility is solid, and some pockets of the business still try to do good work.

Cons

- Much of the agency’s strategic leadership has either left or been laid off. What remains is largely a tactical execution engine, and some in VP+ roles are clearly out of their depth. - It often feels like two separate agencies. After acquiring several US firms, the UK team was elevated as the center of gravity. The US team’s market knowledge is frequently ignored or marginalized, and input is deprioritized. - Leadership culture feels cliquey and defensive. There’s little cross-regional collaboration or trust, and internal decision-making often lacks transparency. - Communication from leadership is inconsistent and at times feels more like misdirection than meaningful direction. Top-down messaging is reactive and not well coordinated. - The organizational structure is bloated in some places and hollow in others—lots of churn, little continuity, and no clear plan to stabilize the business.

Thanks for the thoughtful review. I can see you're an existing employee, so please do reach out to the People team or a member of management you trust if you would like to discuss any of these points further. You're right that keeping people connecting globally can be a challenge, particularly where we've integrated companies previously centred in different regions. We're always keen to better understand regional perspectives to help inform our strategy, and have made recent changes to our US leadership and structure to help do that. Hopefully you will start to feel that's reflected soon. We appreciate your ongoing commitment to TMP.
