Pros
You can make decent money working with a lease-up property.
Cons
You will never be trained properly! They really try to hone in on customer service skills by providing 2 days of off-site. When in reality they should be teaching TAX CREDIT information. It’s really devastating how undertrained you will be. Yet, middle and upper management will still have a set expectation for what happens in the office. Not to mention the fact that you will be severely understaffed even during a LEASE UP! There is no work/life balance. Once they see you give your all, they will abuse you and then belittle you for bringing concerns to their attention. Poor leadership across the board from the newly hired managers and middle management. Fair housing laws are obviously flexible with this corporation as they have violated them on several occasions. Leadership isn’t held accountable for the delays or lack of communication. Also, if NRP is considered one of the top builders in the nation…why are there significant delays to each lease-up in the Austin area? Delays that are caused by construction are also put on the backs of leasing. This place was so bad I didn’t even have another offer in sight. I’ve never felt so much physical and mental damage to my body working anywhere else. Just avoid this company.
