Is this your company?

Pros

I learned a lot working at this company. The CEO Kip Meadows was very generous in supporting local charities, events, and employee/kids fundraisers. Not only was it probably the best paying job I ever had but it had great benefits as well. I was never once turned down to be able to take my vacation. One thing I will really miss is we were able to dress down every day. If you wanted to wear blue jeans you could as long as they were in good condition. Letting you do things like that, just little things mean a lot.

Cons

Would have liked to have felt appreciated more. Also, unfortunately due to the type business this company is, it can never close so when there was bad weather it still had to stay open. But fortunately some people could work remotely if they were able.

Pros

Glassdoor is interesting in that most of who posts to the site are disenchanted and trying to get back at something or somebody. If you look at the average tenure of the employees of Nottingham more than half are over 10 years, more than 40% over 15 years and there are 6 or 7 over 20 years. So either all those people are idiots and desperate for a job, or some of the negative comments from 2013 and 2016 that you can read on here simply don't hold water.

Cons

Because of the low turnover (contrary to one or two of the comments on here) there are not many spots in senior management opening up, but the pay is good and the work is intellectually challenging and interesting.

Pros

I came across this site when doing a search, and after reading some of the junk expressed in a few of these posts I had to write something. I think I know who wrote at least two of these, and why. One "10 year employee" was fired because she basically wanted to do things her own way after being told LOTS of times how the fund accounting process had to be done and why things had to be checked the way they should. She made several mistakes that cost the company money, and at least one client because of how the mistakes didn't get resolved. Another review I also recognize as an employee who left, hated her new job or got fired (not sure which, heard different stories), wanted to come back, but she was not offered her old job at Nottingham back. She got angry, but her position had been filled, and she wasn't exactly a star when she was there. The comment from someone about the company "about to go under", was written in 2014 so that one was obviously proven wrong. The CEO Kip Meadows is anything but a creep. Everyone has their faults, but he looks after employees like they are family, is fun to be around which might not be often enough, but he works ALL the time from wherever he is. Some of the things said on this site are mean spirited and simply not true.

Cons

Some comments about upside potential are partially true. There are not a ton of opportunities for growth, BUT senior management and leadership positions are almost all filled by employees who started as fund accountants, not brought in from outside.
