Pros
Well known clients and the chance to work at exciting events
Cons
Very poorly paid and no salary review in 3 years Lower pay for female staff members and misogyny is rife Toxic working culture Openly heard it being said women shouldn’t get pregnant whilst working here and this is reflected as there are no female senior management Owner and the director have ‘favourites’ (for unprofessional reasons) and dismiss staff members needs Junior staff are not allowed to put an out of office on under any circumstances which can effect mental health as never able to have break Staff are told that they must answer calls and emails on annual leave and never reveal to clients they are off Discrimination in the office is rife Accounts are not fairly distributed amongst staff - the ‘favourites’ get given first pick and other accounts that are viewed as less appealing (and usually more challenging) are given to the other team members There’s no training provided and certain team members block juniors progressing for fear of their own positions Office is a ‘Little boys club’ Unpaid overtime No appraisals given, so no chance to progress (particularly if you’re not one of the owner or director’s ‘favourites’) Toxic team members are not reprimanded - spiteful behaviour goes unchecked Communication is non existent within the company Staff often openly belittled by the owner in the office, there is a culture of fear Staff that are not ‘favourites’ are openly ignored and scoffed at No flexible working Did not feel valued at all Overworked yet screamed at despite working above and beyond on little pay Impossible targets set and often the owner takes on accounts just ‘for the money’ knowing they are not newsworthy Owner changes his mind and is whimsical and tyrannical Owner will ignore someone in the room if he takes against them (reasons for this are never clear) Owner and director are unprofessional and have overinflated egos Senior staff take credit for junior staff members work The wrong people are promoted
