Pros
extraordinary staff and students; well paying. aspects of the organization are incredible, including great facilities and the fact that students are stipended for their time.
Cons
this is a special place that is well-intentioned but suffers from too many cooks in the kitchen and too many items on the menu. unfortunately it operates with top heavy leadership style that is often out of touch with the boots on the ground staff, students, and families being served. the result is an overly structured and overpacked program with extremely high expectations and little room to bring new ideas. the org culture is not healthy and leads to overworking employees, emotional exhaustion, and burnout. there are trust issues that flow both ways which distracts from and compromises the program. leadership can spends upwards of 30+ hours a week in meetings that often results in more work and expectations cascading onto educators and operational staff who may be paid reasonably, but significantly less than leadership and do not have a seat at the decision making table nor healthy avenues to share ideas and feedback that reflect the realities of the theory driven program.
